Solution Architect / Tech Lead (m/f/d/o)


Description of Tasks
 
Definition and documentation of IT Solution Architectures that meet the requirements of the project - Input to and review of system requirements to ensure customers requirements are clearly and completely documented, technically deliverable, and aligned with customers IT Strategy and Reference Architecture - Assurance of the quality of all technical deliverables of the project including but not limited to design, technical testing, code and configuration to ensure alignment with the architecture, that functional and non-functional requirements are met, and that technical quality is to the required standard;

- Analysis and documentation of non-functional requirements
- Research, analysis, negotiation and documentation of key architectural decisions
- Provision of technical leadership, advice and guidance to system designers and developers
- Reporting on progress, risks and issues to the project manager
- Managing and control the overall architecture of the project
- Providing regular reporting of progress, risks and issues to the project manager as required

Requirements
 
Specific Professional Knowledge:
University degree in computer sciences, mathematics, engineering, or in a related discipline. Substantial professional experience in the field may be accepted in lieu of a degree in the relevant discipline.

- A minimum of seven years’ experience in solution architecture and design
- Significant knowledge of, and experience in applying, industry recognised architectural and design methods
- Extensive experience in web/client-side tools used for data entry of complex tabular data
- Extensive experience in design of APIs, Single Page Apps, web application architectures
- Extensive experience defining data interchange formats (JSON, XML)

Extensive knowledge of modern data management techniques, patterns and tooling including data lakes, data warehouses, relational database management systems, data analytics and reporting tools, data modelling, cloud and microservices architectures including MS Azure.

- Extensive experience participating in technology evaluation and selection processes
- Sound understanding of security principles, design patterns and tools
- Understanding of IT future directions
- In-depth knowledge of the System Development Life Cycle, including traditional, iterative and rapid and agile development methodologies
- Cross-domain, cross-functional, cross-industry expertise
- Experience working in cloud software environments
- Must be a team player, experienced in working with others to achieve an objective
- Must be project-oriented, customer-focussed and responsive, with a highly professional manner.

Additional Job-related Skills:
-TOGAF / Prince2 / ITIL / SCRUM experience Knowledge of Data Warehousing & Analytics, OLAP / MOLAP, CRM, Cloud & Microservices architecture.

Single page apps, clientside javascript e.g. reactJS, angulartJS, backboneJS et al Serverside web apps, cloud hosted (IaaS and PaaS options, MS Azure) Serverside javascript e.g. node.js B2B user management and SSO across many independent apps (Azure AD) Experience supporting performance testing exercises.

Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
Good verbal communication skills in the German language.
